On behalf of ScanJour , Ciklum (www.ciklum.net) is looking for new senior Software Development Engineers (SDE) with focus on SharePoint technologies. Office in Kiev.
About ScanJour
We develop standard software and provide solutions for agile case and document management (a segment of the ECM industry). Our products have been implemented at many large scale customers, both in the public and private sector. The fruits of our labor are in daily use by 75.000 users at around 160 customers.
You will be a part our Research & Development Department
The Research & Development Department currently consists of 55 employees in two locations. We’ve split the group so that there are ~35 employees in Frederiksberg (Denmark), while the rest are in Kiev (Ukraine). The production teams are 50% in each location, all being in close daily contact utilizing the latest in communication equipment. The Research & Development Department is responsible for the ScanJour standard products, service packs and hotfixes. Our goal is to deliver software of the highest quality, helping our users in running their day to day businesses.
The Job
The position of SDE is exciting and varied and you will join a very committed team of software developers. Our development processes are up to date and we try to solve as many problems as possible by utilizing technology. We are strong believers of SCRUM, which we believe makes us agile and more productive. As a common tool we use in particular Microsoft Visual Studio Team System 2010 and Microsoft .NET 4.0. We’re committed to using Test Driven Development (TDD) for all new development, and to use pairing whenever possible.
Primary responsibility:
• Contribute to the design and implementation of our products and modules
Other responsibilities include:
• Work with program management, automation and domain test counterparts in defining and designing new features
• Design and build new features
• Identify important customer scenarios and drive the development of those
Required qualifications include:
• 4+ years of experience with software design and development in C#/.NET programming
• 3+ years of experience with developing SharePoint solutions, including web parts, web pages and working with the object model
• Project related experience with SharePoint 2010
• A Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience
The successful candidate will also have:
• Excellent design, coding, testing, problem solving and debugging skills
• Experience with test driven development (TDD)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• The ability to produce results independently and in team collaboration settings
Additionally, the following skills or experience would be very helpful in this position:
• Familiarity with databases (Oracle and/or SQL Server)
• Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Visual Studio Tools for Office (VSTO) and/or Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
• Experience with Silverlight
• Experience in records or enterprise content management
